“Non importa dove, l’importante è andare” scriveva Jack Kerouac nel suo più celebre romanzo autobiografico “On the Road”. Una frase che diventa motto per chi, viaggiatore impavido e solitario, sceglie i luoghi più remoti del creato, posti che sembrano dimenticati da dio, eppure, in questi scatti di Flavia Fiengo, fotografa italiana (travel photographer), la presenza umana pare allertarci con piccoli dettagli, oggetti d’uso quotidiano, dell’intimo steso, delle sedie di plastica che guardano il mare, la presenza/assenza di corpi astratti, che ci sono, ma non possiamo vedere.
“No matter where, the important thing is to go”, wrote Jack Kerouac in his most famous autobiographical novel “On the Road.” A phrase that becomes a motto for those fearless and solitary travelers who choose the most remote places on Earth, locations that seem forgotten by God; yet, in these shots by Flavia Fiengo, an Italian travel photographer, human presence seems to alert us with small details: everyday objects, laundry hanging out, plastic chairs facing the sea, the presence/absence of abstract bodies that exist but we cannot see.
